“Texas is not for me.”

I was born and raised in Texas. A big part of why I left was because I am trans. I wanted access to healthcare, but there weren’t many doctors willing to take on trans patients. When I lived in San Antonio, I had to drive four hours just to see a doctor who would prescribe hormones and do blood work. Texas is not for me.

When I moved to Colorado, I got a job at Target. My health insurance through Target covers gender services, and I only had to make two phone calls to get set up with my doctor. It was amazing!
